Staff Summary
* The Lake County Board created LCP in 1998 to represent the County in matters pertaining to economic development.
* Section 55 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) 5/5-1005 (21), authorizes the County to appropriate and expend funds from the county treasury for economic development purposes, including the making of grants to any other governmental entity or commercial enterprise deemed necessary or desirable for the promotion of economic development in the county.
* Funding for the professional service agreement is provided in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 budget and is subject to annual budgetary appropriations and an evaluation of the effectiveness of LCP in achieving the County's economic development objectives.
* Pursuant to Article 6, Section102 of the County's Purchasing Ordinance, the Purchasing Agent consulted with an ad hoc review group that approved a bid exemption on the basis of an existing long standing, successful relationship.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Lake County Board created the Lake County Partners (LCP) in 1998 to represent the County in matters pertaining to economic development; and

WHEREAS, section 55 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) 5/5-1005 (21), authorizes the County to appropriate and expend funds from the county treasury for economic development purposes, including the making of grants to any other governmental entity or commercial enterprise deemed necessary or desirable for the promotion of economic development in the county; and
