The Illinois Department of Public Health SFY18 Cities Readiness Initiative Grant Award was increased in the amount of $9,539 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. The amount requested to be appropriated in LCFY18 is $9,539. The additional funding will go towards the purchase of Open and Closed POD supplies and MRC support supplies.
The Illinois Department of Public Health SFY18 Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant Award was increased in the amount of $30,248 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. The amount requested to be appropriated in LCFY18 is $30,248. The additional funding will support the purchase of Closed POD supplies, training and volunteer management supplies and maintain Emergency Management equipment for LCHD/EMA.
The Illinois Department of Public Health SFY18 Local Health Protection Award was increased in the amount of $74,833 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. The amount requested to be appropriated in LCFY18 is $74,833. These funds will continue to support Infectious Disease, Food, Well, Onsite Wastewater Treatment and added support for Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services. These funds will be used to offset staff salaries.
Suggested Motion
To accept the additional funding of $114,620 from the Illinois Department of Public Health. If deemed necessary, to authorize the Executive Director to execute an emergency appropriation or line item transfer to allow for expenditure of these funds.
