Staff Summary
• The Lake Bluff Mosquito Abatement District (LBMAD) provides services to 13,675 people in the communities of Lake Bluff, North Chicago (Great Lakes Naval Base) and Abbott Park as well as unincorporated area.
• The LBMAD covers a 6.25 square mile area. 79.3 percent of the service area is in incorporated areas and 20.7 percent is unincorporated.
• For the past three years, the LBMAD’s annual expenses average $120,000 and exceed average revenues of $100,000 slightly. During the same period, the District has maintained a fund balance over $200,000, equally approximately 200 percent of budget.
• 97 percent of revenues are generated by property taxes and two percent come from the state replacement tax revenue.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the term of Member Robert Hance has expired; and
WHEREAS, your Chairman requests that this County Board confirm the reappointment of Robert Hance as a member of the Lake Bluff Mosquito Abatement District for a term ending on December 13, 2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the reappointment of Robert Hance as a member of the Lake Bluff Mosquito Abatement District for a term ending December 13, 2021, be approved and the same is hereby confirmed.
