• This resolution authorizes the carryover, or reauthorization, of certain FY 2017 activities.
• These activities were not included in the FY 2018 budget; to have included them would have hindered the proper scrutiny of the new FY 2018 budget.
• Without this action, these projects and/or items will not have the budget authority required.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, as part of the budget preparation for fiscal year (FY) 2018 and as part of the year end activities for FY 2017, certain projects, items and activities have been identified in the FY 2017 budget that, for a variety of reasons, were not completed by the end of the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to reauthorize the associate budgets for the projects, items and activities in the FY 2018 budget, which will be funded from the unobligated fund balances from the prior year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that emergency appropriations for FY 2018 in various funds for certain projects, items and activities which were budgeted in the prior year and will not be completed are hereby authorized as detailed in the attached listing, which is hereby made a part of this resolution.
