Annual Routine Action Items - Nordstrom

Body
The following items require annual Board of Health approval at the start of each fiscal year. These items have been previously reviewed by Special Assistant State's Attorney James Bakk and previous resolutions have been updated for annual approval by the Board of Health.

Prevailing Wage Act Ordinance
This a reaffirmation of a County Board ordinance adopted in 2006 establishing Prevailing Wage rates for laborers, workers, and mechanics employed by contractors or subcontractors in the performance of public work contracts in the County of Lake. This action is further required on an annual basis by the Board of Health.

Resolution Providing for Authorized Signatories
This resolution assists in the timeliness of executing leases and, as such, provides for authorized signatories for the Lake County Health Department for the execution of leases, grants, grant contracts, and other contractual agreements involving the Lake County Health Department as a party or grantor consistent with those programs established by the Board of Health.

Agreements with Stables for the Apprehension and Impoundment of Livestock at Large
This resolution supports the Animal Care and Control Program's need to contract with area stables willing and qualified to apprehend and impound livestock. This need relates to their responsibility to enforce and implement the livestock at large provisions of the Illinois Livestock Running At Large Act and the Lake County Animal Care and Control ordinance.

Joint Purchasing Programs, Consortiums and Cooperatives
This is a reaffirmation of a 1989 resolution that provides the foundation for our participation in the Illinois Joint Purchasing Program as well as a reaffirmation of other purchasing consortiums and cooperatives.

Grant Policies
This provides guidance to the Executive Director in requesting and managing grant revenues.
