• The County Board has declared that the three members of the Board of Review need additional assistance to complete the upcoming tax year hearings.
• On June 13, 2017, the County Board approved the appointment of 15 eligible individuals who have passed the Board of Review qualifying exam or have served regularly as alternate members.
• Mr. Robert Glueckert is also qualified to serve as an alternate member.
• The Chairman is authorized to appoint alternate members.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Illinois Law (35 ILCS 200/6-25) provides that the County Board may appoint by Resolution additional qualified members to the Board of Review to hear appeals under specific circumstances; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Board of Review has determined that the number of appeals filed with the Lake County Board of Review has created the need for an expanded Board of Review to hear said appeals; and
WHEREAS, the County Board declared that said number of appeals constitutes an emergency situation causing the need for an expanded Board of Review; and
WHEREAS, under this situation, the Chairman of the Board may appoint additional qualified members to the Board of Review.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the additional appointment of Robert Glueckert to the expanded Board of Review shall be appointed by the Chairman of the Board as a qualified by virtue for having passed the State Board of Review examination and as recommended by the Board of Review; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that payment to said additional member shall be made from the present Board of Review budget and from the Chief County Assessment Office budget.
