* SMC has entered into an agreement with (IEPA) for a grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency Clean Water Section 319 Nonpoint Source Pollution Reduction Program for stormwater BMP project implementation in Lake County.
* The total project cost is $691,817, which utilizes both grant and local match funding. Funds for this grant are not included in the current year budget.
* SMC will provide administration and professional services for in-the-ground projects with Libertyville Township, Grayslake Community Park District and the University of Saint Mary's of the Lake with all the local partners providing cost-share match.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission (SMC) has received a grant for implementation of stormwater best management practices in Lake County to be implemented by Libertyville Township, Grayslake Community Park District and the University of St. Mary's of the Lake; and

WHEREAS, the SMC has entered into Agreement #3191715 with Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for a total project cost of $691,817, which includes project partner funding match, reimbursement of SMC management expenses, and IEPA project grant funds covered by this emergency appropriation, in the amount of $323,797.

WHEREAS, the local project partners will provide matching funds and in-kind services for the grant; and

WHEREAS, the fiscal year (FY) 2017 budget did not include the full amount necessary for the services provided in FY 2017; and

WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation in an amount of $323,797 is necessary for FY 2017 to provide for payment of services provided.
