Staff Summary
• On August 2, 2017 staff provided an overview of UDO text amendment topics for future Committee action.
• Staff will continue the amendment discussions, including local food.
• The local food amendments implement the Lake County Board Strategic Plan Goal: “Promote a Sustainable Environment, by benefiting the public health, the local green economy and the environment,”.
• Staff will refine the comprehensive draft after concluding the discussion series and present a final version for Committee action to formally initiate the text amendment process.
