Resolution providing for the appointment of Kevin Considine as member of the Upper Illinois River Valley Development Authority.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it shall be the duty of the Upper Illinois River Valley Development Authority to promote development within the geographic confines of Grundy, LaSalle, Bureau, Putnam, Kendall, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Marshall Counties; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Upper Illinois River Valley Development Authority Act (70 ILCS 530/4) (from Ch. 85, par. 7154) the body shall consist of 21 members and 9 of whom shall be appointed, one each by the county board chairmen of Grundy, LaSalle, Bureau, Putnam, Kendall, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Marshall counties; and
WHEREAS, Upper Illinois River Valley Development Authority Member Michael Stevens has resigned; and
WHEREAS, the resignation of Member Michael Stevens creates a vacancy on the Upper Illinois River Valley Development Authority; and
WHEREAS, the initial member appointed by the Chairman of the County Board of Lake County shall serve until the third Monday in January, 2018; and
WHEREAS, all successors shall hold office for a term of three years commencing on the third Monday in January, of the year in which their term commences; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of your Chairman that Kevin Considine be appointed as a member of the Upper Illinois River Valley Development Authority to complete the vacated term, ending January 15, 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that Kevin Considine is hereby appointed to serve as a member of the Upper Illinois River Valley Development Authority, to represent Lake County for a term ending January 15, 2018.
