Resolution authorizing a contract with KS2 Technologies, Grapevine, Texas, for renewal of IDS Dynamic Server Software (Informix) licenses for Lake County in an estimated amount of $98,206.57.

Staff Summary
* The current contract for Informix is expiring.
* Informix is the database that services the tax system for Lake County.
* There is a need to enter into a new agreement to maintain and support the critical database operations within the current tax software system to be replaced with the implementation of Tyler Tax in 2018.
* Information Technology identified a joint purchasing agreement, that was competitively solicited and awarded, through National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) and its agent KS2 Technologies.
* Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants.
* Funds were budgeted as part of the IT operation budget for fiscal year 2017.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, IDS Dynamic Server Software (Informix) is the database for Lake County's current tax system; and

WHEREAS, the current contract for the Informix licenses is expiring; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a new agreement from KS2 Technologies to maintain and support critical database operations within the current tax system. Funds were budgeted as part of the Information Technology (IT) operation budget for fiscal year 2017.

WHEREAS, IT identified a joint purchasing agreement, that was competitively solicited and awarded, through National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance and its agent KS2 Technologies.
