RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a program year 2017 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funding notice totaling $4,854,282 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Grant includes funding for programs serving adults, dislocated workers, incumbent workers and youth.
WHEREAS, the WIOA Grant term is July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2019.
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $666,466 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Development Department’s county fiscal year 2017 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that a fiscal year’s 2017 emergency appropriation in the amount of $666,466 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA Formula Grant, be accepted. A chart of accounts is attached.
