RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, funding was allocated as part of the 2017 budget and carry-over process for certain capital improvements at the Depke complex, and;
WHEREAS, there is a need to remove, regrade, and resurface certain parking spaces in the front and sides of the complex; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from two vendors at the Lake County Administrative Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on June 16, 2017, at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the bid; the staff evaluated all bids submitted and determined that the bid submitted by Allstar Asphalt in the amount of $218,500 is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Lake County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby directed to enter into a contract with Allstar Asphalt, of Wheeling, Illinois for resurfacing and paving improvements at the Robert W. Depke Juvenile Justice Center in the amount of $218,500 and will be managed by Facilities Department of Finance and Administrative Services and charged to account...
