Resolution authorizing a two year extension to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 as exclusive representative of certain employees in the Division of Transportation.

 

Staff Summary

•                     The CBA was effective April 1, 2012 through March 30, 2016.

•                     The parties have tentatively agreed to a two year extension which will grant a two percent increase on April 1, 2016 ($93,057) and April 1, 2017 ($94,918).                     

•                     Employees covered by this agreement receive health and dental insurance sponsored by the union.  The union is changing its premium structure to add a “single plus one” tier, which is expected to result in an anticipated savings of $207,312 due to lower premiums the County will pay.
