Resolution authorizing a one year extension to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 as the exclusive representative of certain employees in the Public Works Department.

 

Staff Summary

•                     The CBA was effective from December 1, 2012 through November 30, 2016.

•                     The parties have tentatively agreed to a one year extension which will grant a 2.25 percent increase ($67,004) effective December 1, 2016.

•                     Employees covered by this agreement receive health and dental insurance sponsored by the union.  The union is changing its premium structure to add a “single plus one” tier, which is expected to result in an anticipated savings of $207,312 due to lower premiums the County will pay.
