R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, constructed a path along the south side of Deerfield Road, County Highway 11, from Thornmeadow Road westward to connect with the existing Des Plaines River Trail, and included the construction of a bicycle/pedestrian bridge across the Des Plaines River; and

WHEREAS, this County Board at its meeting of December 8, 2009, approved an agreement with the LCFPD for the Deerfield Road Path construction; and

WHEREAS, at the request of the LCFPD, an amendment to the agreement is needed for the LCFPD to provide routine maintenance of the Deerfield Road path to allow equestrian use, from Thornmeadow Road to the Des Plaines River Trail, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of Lake County the first amendment to the agreement and any subsequent amendm...
