Staff Summary
* The Lake County Board updates its Strategic Plan every two years, per County Board Rules.
* Lake County engaged residents and stakeholders in a multi-faceted public outreach effort to obtain input into the Strategic Plan and understand their priorities, including two Telephone Town Hall Meetings, a mixed-mode (mail, internet, and telephone) survey of Lake County residents, and a series of Leaders Round Table meetings.
* The County Board conducted two strategic planning sessions in March 2017 to review and update strategic goals to guide future action.
* The Strategic Plan includes an updated Mission Statement, Vision Statement and Values, as well as Strategic Initiatives, and Goals with supporting strategies, actions and performance metrics.
* The Strategic Goals are: Provide Public Safety and Advance an Integrated, Data-Driven Justice System, Enhance Economic Opportunities, Promote a Sustainable Environment, Build Healthy, Inclusive, and Resilient Communities, and Improve Transportation.
* This Resolution adopts the 2017 Strategic Plan Update and directs the County Administrator to oversee its implementation.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Lake County Board updates its Strategic Plan every two years, per County Board Rules; and
WHEREAS, Lake County engaged residents and stakeholders in multi-pronged public outreach effort to obtain input into the Strategic Plan and understand their priorities, including two Telephone Town Hall Meetings, a mixed-mode (mail, internet, and telephone) survey of Lake County residents, and a series of Leaders Round Table meetings; and
