RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois DCEO has provided a TAA grant modification totaling $16,239 to the Workforce Development Department; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is for the program period through September 30, 2017, to provide services to individuals from dislocation events and certified under the Trade Adjustment Assistance; and
WHEREAS, these additional funds cover payment processing expenses of participant tuition, training and transportation vouchers; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $16,239 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s fiscal year 2017 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $16,239 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the Trade Adjustment Act grant modification be accepted.
