R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, 9th Street, County Highway 47, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if 9th Street, from Lewis Avenue to Illinois Route 137, could be resurfaced; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications, and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed, and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $1,260,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the resurfacing of 9th Street, from Lewis Avenue to Illinois Route 137, and designated as Section 16-00111-10-RS.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the “Agreement of Understanding” between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
