R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, to preserve the condition of pavement markings on the County highway system, the Lake County Division of Transportation annually undertakes the removal, replacement or refurbishment of the thermoplastic and polyurea markings on the bituminous and concrete pavements of various County highways; and
WHEREAS, a survey of the conditions of the above-said pavement markings on bituminous and concrete pavements, throughout the County highway system, has been completed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that $1,015,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds is hereby appropriated for the 2017 removal, replacement or refurbishment of pavement markings on the bituminous and concrete pavements of various County highways, and designated as Section 17-00000-15-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the “Agreement of Understanding” between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
