Resolution recommending the appointment of Michael Danforth as a member of the Lake County Board, representing District 17, and as a member of the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the Law and Judicial Committee, and the Ethics and Oversight Committee.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, due to the resignation of Nick Sauer, there now exists a vacancy in the District 17 County Board seat; and
WHEREAS, your Chairman recommends Michael Danforth be appointed to represent the county’s 17th District on the County Board; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 5/25-11 of the Election Code, Michael Danforth shall serve until the next general election at which time the office shall be filled by election for the remainder of the four-year term; and
WHEREAS, your Chairman also recommends the appointment of Michael Danforth to fill the vacancy on the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the Law and Judicial Committee, and the Ethics and Oversight Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Michael Danforth is hereby appointed as the District 17 representative on the Lake County Board, and as a member of the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the Law and Judicial Committee, and the Ethics and Oversight Committee.
