RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on September 3, 2016, there was a boat crash involving a Lake County Sheriff’s Office marine patrol boat and a vessel operated by a private citizen; and
WHEREAS, the Risk Division evaluated the situation and determined the boat was beyond repair and needed to be replaced; and
WHEREAS, funding for the replacement of the marine patrol boat will be provided by The Risk Division; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Brunswick Commercial and Government Products, Inc. of Edgewater, Florida, for a Sheriff’s Office marine patrol boat in the estimated total amount of $134,149, charged to account number 206-1440010-72180.
