R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Hunt Club Road, County Highway 29, and York House Road, County Highway 65, are designated routes on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Hunt Club Road, from Washington Street to North of Dada Drive, and York House Road, from Illinois Route 131 to Lewis, could be resurfaced; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that a consulting engineering firm be employed to provide Phase II design engineering services; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.); and
WHEREAS, McClure Engineering Associates, Inc., Waukegan, Illinois, are consulting engineers skilled in the provision of said Phase II design engineering services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that McClure Engineering Associates, Inc., Waukegan, Illinois, be employed to provide said Phase II design engineering services at a maximum cost of services described as $155,242.26, and that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute, on behalf of Lake County, an agreement for consultant engineering services between Lake County and McClure Engineering Associates, Inc., Waukegan, Illinois, for the resurfacing of Hunt Club Road, from Washington Street to North of Dada Drive, and York House Road, from Illinois Route 131 to Lewis Avenue, a draft copy of which is attached hereto, and such authorization shall include any necessary subsequent amendments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement, and any amendments, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $190,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for these engineering services, and designated as Sections 17-00095-18-RS and 17-00143-14-RS.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement be administered in accordance with Chapter 605, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action providing the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriations provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
