• 2017 Concrete Pavement Patching: Appropriation.
• Each year, the County undertakes patching of its concrete pavements to preserve surface quality, including repairing damaged manholes, catch basins, curbs, and gutters.
• This patching and repairing is done on isolated sections of pavements that are not individually listed in the Five-Year Program for resurfacings/rehabilitation/ reconstruction, but have been otherwise identified as needing repair.
• Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $240,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to preserve pavement condition of the concrete pavements throughout the County highway system, each year the Division of Transportation undertakes concrete pavement patching, where necessary, on various County highways; and
WHEREAS, the annual survey of pavement conditions has been completed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $240,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds to provide for the 2017 concrete pavement patching, where necessary, on various County highways, including repairing damaged manholes, catch basins, curbs, and gutters, and designated as Section 17-00000-10-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the “Agreement of Understanding” between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
