Staff Summary
* Washington Street, from Haryan Way to Lake Street: Village of Grayslake Agreement.
* Washington Street, from Haryan Way to Lake Street, will be improved by widening and constructing a grade separation under the Canadian National Railway.
* As part of these improvements, the Village of Grayslake and Lake County desire to install an aesthetic bridge railing treatment.
* The County will reimburse the Village of Grayslake $100,000 towards the cost of the installation of the aesthetic bridge railing treatment.
* The County, at its meeting of August 12, 2014, approved an appropriation of $8,420,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for the Washington Street Grade Separation project.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Washington Street, County Highway 45, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Grayslake and Lake County believe it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Washington Street, from Haryan Way to Lake Street, could be improved by widening and constructing a grade separation under the Canadian National Railway; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Grayslake and Lake County are desirous to include the installation of an aesthetic bridge railing treatment within the limits of the County's improvement; and

WHEREAS, the County will reimburse the Village of Grayslake $100,000 towards the cost of the installation of the aesthetic bridge railing treatment; and

WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village of Grayslake are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions for the installation of an aesthetic bridge railing treatment within the project limits for the Washington ...
