* Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will be using liquid calcium and magnesium chloride deicer/anti-icer with sugar beet molasses based corrosion inhibitor solution during the 2017 snow and ice season.
* Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants.
* Staff has identified a joint purchasing opportunity through a recently awarded contract by Warren Township Highway Department with K-Tech Specialty Coating, Inc., of Ashley, Indiana, for the procurement of liquid calcium and magnesium chloride deicer/anti-icer with sugar beet molasses based corrosion inhibitor solution.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to better preserve the pavement condition and the environment, the Division of Transportation will be using liquid calcium and magnesium chloride deicer/anti-icer with sugar beet molasses based corrosion inhibitor solution during the 2017 snow and ice season; and
