Staff Summary
* The purpose of this project is to install, maintain and operate sanitary sewer flow monitoring stations in portions of the Northwest, Northeast Central and Southeast Lake Sewer Systems, and to perform sewer inspections in areas with known Infiltration and Inflow, as identified by a previous flow monitoring project.
* The County provides wholesale sanitary sewer service, by contract, to several municipalities including Round Lake, Round Lake Park, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Heights, Hainesville, Fox Lake, Lake Villa, Gurnee, Grayslake, Third Lake, Kildeer, Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods, Long Grove, Deerfield, Buffalo Grove, Riverwoods, Lincolnshire and unincorporated portions of northwestern, northeast central and southeastern Lake County.
* The data collected will be used in developing engineering solutions to reduce wet weather infiltration and inflow into the sanitary sewer systems.
* Lake County has a prior satisfactory relationship with RJN Group, Inc., for work of similar nature on County projects and these services are in accordance with the Purchasing Ordinance and the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act.

WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains the Northwest, Northeast Central and Southeast Interceptor Sewers serving the Northwest, Northeast Central and Southeast Lake Facilities Planning Areas (FPA's); and
