R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to preserve the condition of the bituminous highway pavements, shoulders, and bike path pavements on the designated routes on the County highway system and the County bike path network, the Division of Transportation annually undertakes work, where necessary, including pavement patching, pavement shoulder repairs, bike path resurfacing and bike path seal coating, hereinafter, bituminous maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of bituminous maintenance activities for 2017 is $715,000; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $715,000 of Matching Tax funds for bituminous maintenance for fiscal year 2017 on various County highways and bike paths, and designated as Section 17-00000-13-GM.
