Resolution reauthorizing the Ad Hoc Diversity and Inclusion Committee and appointing members to the Committee.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board created an Ad Hoc Diversity and Inclusion Committee to plan the annual cultural diversity seminar and develop other educational events and materials to foster an understanding of the numerous cultures, races, religions and beliefs in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the committee’s activities extend into the next County Board session; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the County Board’s Rules of Order and Operational Procedures, the committee needs to be reauthorized; and
WHEREAS, your Chairman recommends reauthorization of the committee; and
WHEREAS, the committee may solicit the input of community members to assist the committee in its work; and
WHEREAS, Committee discussion and recommendations must comply with the Lake County Board’s Ethics Ordinance, Lake County Employment and Procurement Policies and other applicable laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Ad Hoc Diversity and Inclusion Committee be reauthorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following members be appointed:
Mary Ross Cunningham, Chair
Jeff Werfel, Vice-Chair
Chuck Bartels, Member
Paul Frank, Member
Audrey Nixon, Member
Jennifer Witherspoon, Member
Rosa Reyes Prosen, Member
