RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Keith Brin was elected as Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court in 2012; and

WHEREAS, Keith Brin's commitment to Lake County began in 2009 when he joined the Circuit Clerk's office as Chief Deputy; and

WHEREAS, as Clerk of the Circuit Court, Keith Brin was an outspoken advocate and proponent of utilizing technology to create an efficient connection between the courts and the public; and

WHEREAS, Keith Brin led a modernization effort using technology to create continuous access to the courts through the development and implementation of the e-filing system for civil cases and public access to all records; and

WHEREAS, during his tenure as Clerk of the Circuit Court, Keith Brin also led an electronic transfer payment initiative in the county, expediting payments to every Lake County municipality and taxpayer which resulted in the reduction of 4,500 pieces of paper per month; and

WHEREAS, in 2014, Keith Brin was appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court's E-Business Policy Advisory Board and to the North American Regional Board of the International Association for Court Administration; and

WHEREAS, Keith Brin is highly engaged in a number of civic and philanthropic organizations including the United Service Organizations, Service Dog Connection, Make-A-Wish Illinois, Northern Illinois Food Bank and NICASA; and

WHEREAS, the grandchild of two Holocaust survivors, Keith Brin is an unyielding supporter of Honor Flight-Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Keith Brin is married to his wife Courtney and is a proud father to his three children, Sheridan, Hudson and Arden; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this County Board of Lake County, Illinois offers its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Keith Brin for his dedicated public service to his community and to the citizens of Lake County; and
