The Together Summit 2017 - Pfister

The Together Summit will be a county-wide, multisector gathering designed to acknowledge and affirm the strengths of Lake County, as well as take a closer look at strategic opportunities to work together to make our county even healthier and more vibrant as a whole. The half-day Summit will take place the morning of Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the College of Lake County in Grayslake. Registration will be by invitation only and all Board of Health members are warmly invited to attend. An invitational flyer is attached.
The Summit will provide the opportunity to be a catalyst for the Community Health Assessment (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). A broad representation from Lake County will be invited, including elected officials, local government staff, local government boards, and community organizations. Jon Ashworth, LCHD/CHC Health Equity Coordinator, will share specific examples of how working together toward the objectives set in the CHIP can lead to community health improvement and even transformation when we Together, by coordination of strategies, address chronic disease and the conditions in which they thrive.
Summit speakers will include Lake County Board Chairman Aaron Lawlor and Lake County Partners President and CEO Michael Stevens. Chairman Lawlor will set the tone by addressing Lake County's strengths and framing its needs regarding assuring a sustainably and successful future. Mr. Stevens will give a review of the Lake County Promise and will emphasize the importance of everyone in Lake County having a share in the fulfillment of the Promise.
The Summit keynote speaker will be Tyler Norris, the Vice President of Total Health from Kaiser Permanente. Mr. Norris will be building upon the foundation of acknowledgement and affirmation by broadening the vision of a sustainable future that fulfills the Lake County Promise.
