Resolution approving the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by and between the Lake County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and Lakemoor Police Department to establish goals and working arrangements related to the Lake County Gang Task Force.
Staff Summary
• The LCSO has been working with the Lakemoor Police Department to establish and implement a gang task force.
• The main objective of the task force is to prevent and combat criminal gang activity in Lake County.
• This MOU establishes the commitment of all participants in supporting the goals of the task force and to maintain and sustain managerial, financial, and administrative functions related to the operation of the force.
• Participating in the task force is a two-year commitment which will expire in 2018.
• Participating staff members appointed by outside agencies will be approved by the LCSO.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the LCSO is entering into MOU with the above listed municipal Police Department.
WHEREAS, said understandings formalize the arrangement regarding participation on the Lake County Gang Task Force,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Lake County Sheriff’s Office is entering into a MOU with Lakemoor Police Department for the purpose of establishing an operating a Lake County Gang Task Force.
