* This resurfacing improvement has been identified within the County's pavement management system, and is included in the 2016 highway improvement program.
* Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $6,260,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lewis Avenue, County Highway 27, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Lewis Avenue, from Wadsworth Road to 20th Street, could be resurfaced; and
WHEREAS, this project will consist of milling and resurfacing the existing pavement; removing and replacing the curb and gutter, replacing the traffic signals at 27th and 33rd Streets, applying new permanent pavement markings and related work; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications, and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed, and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $6,260,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the resurfacing of Lewis Avenue, from Wadsworth Road to 20th Street, and designated as Section 16-00089-08-RS.
