R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the Robert McClory Bike Path Bridge Abutments, and designated as Section 16-00173-14-BR; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bid, sealed bids were received and opened on July 19, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:

WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Acura Inc., Bensenville, Illinois, their bid being $604,503 based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
WHEREAS, this Lake County Board, by prior resolution at its meeting of June 14, 2016, appropriated $535,000 of County Bridge Tax funds for the repair of bike path bridges on the Robert McClory Bike Path, over Russell Road and Illinois Route 173, and;
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation of $120,000 of County Bridge Tax funds is required for this award.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that a contract be awarded to said Acura Inc., Bensenville, Illinois, in accordance with their bid of $604,503, based on estimated quantities and unit prices, and that the Purchasing Agent, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County be authorized and they are hereby directed to enter into a contract with said low bidder for the repair of bike path bridges on the Robert McClory Bike Path, over Russell Road and Illinois Route 173, and designated as Section 16-00173-14-BR.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a supplemental appropriation of $120,000 of County Bridge Tax funds is made for the repair of bike path bridges on the Robert McClory Bike Path, over Russell Road and Illinois Route 173, and designated as Section 16-00173-14-BR.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in as much as such estimated quantities are the best approximation that can be determined at this time, these quantities may be added to, deducted from, or modified from in the final determination of the contract cost in accordance with Chapter 605 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 without further Board action, providing the final cost chargeable to the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriation.
