* District 76 owns a water system that supplies water to its Diamond Lake School located at 25807 Diamond Lake Road, Mundelein, Illinois, and has requested that the County provide maintenance and operational services for the system.
* The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) requires every water system to have a certified operator.
* This resolution authorizes a service agreement for the Diamond Lake School District Water System.
* Through this agreement the County, via its Public Works Department, will act as the certified operator and provide maintenance and operation services for the District 76 Water System, as requested by the District, on a time-and-materials basis, in accordance with the County Public Works Department then-current schedule of supplemental charges for contract operation and maintenance services.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County), through its Public Works Department provides operations and maintenance services to other agencies and units of governments by agreement; and

WHEREAS, Diamond Lake School District 76 (District) owns a water system that supplies potable water to Diamond Lake School, located at 25807 Diamond Lake Road, Mundelein; and

WHEREAS, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) requires public water systems to have a certified operator in charge of each water system; and

WHEREAS, the District has requested the County provide maintenance and operation services for the District water system; and

WHEREAS, a Service Agreement has been prepared, which establishes the terms and conditions of certain services the County will provide to the District; and

WHEREAS, execution of this Agreement must be authorized by Resolution of this County Board.
