Staff Summary
* There is a need to identify a contract to design, furnish and install audio visual technology for courtrooms, agency spaces and public areas for the Depke Juvenile Justice Center Expansion Phase One.
* The contract will provide for an initial design for the facility and identification of equipment to be installed by the vendor.
* The selected vendor may also serve as the County's audio visual technology specialist and provide consulting, material sourcing and installation services on future, to be determined, projects so that all technology will be integrated.
* A request for proposal (RFP) was sent to 24 vendors and proposals were received from five vendors.
* An interdepartmental committee comprised of representatives from the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court, Information Technology, and Finance and Administrative Services reviewed the proposals and interviewed the top two firms.
* Based on the criteria set forth in the RFP, the evaluation group selected Courtroom Technology Services, Inc. from Itasca, Illinois, as the most favorable proposal for Lake County.
* This contract will cost the County an estimated amount of $118,075.95.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, proposals were called for by publication for Vending and Commissary Services; and

WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, request for proposals were extended to 308 vendors; and

WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received from five vendors and opened at the Lake County Administrative Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on May 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.; and
