* In order to perform necessary highway maintenance, the Division of Transportation must purchase Patrol 1 general maintenance materials and services.
* Patrol 1 general maintenance materials and services may include, but not be limited to, supplies such as paint, sign posts, shoulder aggregate, etc., as well as utility services and repairs.
* An appropriation of $695,500 of Motor Fuel Tax funds must be made prior to a letting being held.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to maintain the condition of the designated routes on the County highway system, the Division of Transportation annually undertakes various general maintenance activities that utilize miscellaneous highway materials and services; and
WHEREAS, general maintenance materials and services may include, but not be limited to, supplies such as paint, sign posts, shoulder aggregate, etc., as well as utility services and repairs; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the general maintenance materials and services for 2017 is estimated to be $675,500.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $695,500 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the general maintenance materials and services needed for fiscal year 2017 to support various maintenance activities on various County highways, and designated as Section 17-00000-00-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 18, 2013.
