The cost of claims has steadily increased over the years while settlement authority has not been adjusted accordingly.

Human Resources and Risk are seeking to increase settlement authority limits on workers compensation claims, general liability, and general property claims to $50,000, and, with the County Administrator’s approval, up to $100,000.
