* As part of the Lake Michigan Water Project, the Grandwood Park water system will be receiving Lake Michigan Water from Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (CLCJAWA).
* The scope of work under this contract includes piping modifications and controls, sealing of the reservoir, and installation of a mixing system and master water meter.
* Modifications to the reservoir are necessary to receive and boost water from the CLCJAWA water delivery system for use in the Grandwood Park water system and to provide water from the well system in a back-up emergency condition.
* An invitation to bid was extended to 20 contractors and responses were received from two contractors, ranging from $542,300 to $734,000.
* Boller Construction Company, Inc., submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $542,300.
* This resolution authorizes the execution of a contract with Boller Construction Company, Inc. of Waukegan, Illinois, in the amount of $542,300.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains the Bridlewood Reservoir in Grandwood Park; and
WHEREAS, the Bridlewood Reservoir is in need of upgrades in preparation of receiving Lake Michigan water delivery from the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the Grandwood Park / Bridlewood Reservoir Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to 20 contractors; and
WHEREAS, two sealed bids were received and publicly opened in the office of the Lake County Public Works Department Administration Building on Monday, June 20, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.; and
