Staff Summary
* The IEPA has informed the County that it intends to continue funding the solid waste inspection and enforcement program.
* The grant is for the maximum amount of $91,500.28 for the period of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.
* Request for payment reports for reimbursement and other related documents are submitted by the Lake County Health Department (LCHD) to the IEPA on a quarterly basis.
* This will provide authority to the Health Department's Director of Prevention, to sign the IEPA request for payment reports and other related documents.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the County of Lake has entered into a Delegation Agreement with the IEPA for the purpose of implementing a local solid waste inspection and enforcement program; and

WHEREAS, this program is being implemented through an agreement between the County and the LCHD, with the funding budgeted by the County Board from the Solid Waste Management Tax Fund; and

WHEREAS, the IEPA has informed the County that it intends to fund the solid waste inspection and enforcement program in the amount of $91,500.28 for the period July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, the IEPA request for payment reports for reimbursement are submitted by the LCHD to the IEPA on a quarterly basis and there may be other related documents required to be submitted during the grant period; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Prevention, has the authority to sign the request for payment reports and other related documents.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation to accept a Solid Waste Enforcement Grant from the IEPA in the amount of $91,500.28 for the ...
