Joint resolution providing for the receipt of a maximum of $200,000 reimbursement of Unified Work Program (UWP) federal planning funds from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), to the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) for the Paratransit Market Study, appropriating $250,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds, and designated as Section 16-00280-05-ES.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County will conduct a Countywide Paratransit Market Analysis Study; and
WHEREAS, CMAP, using UWP federal planning funds, will reimburse LCDOT 80 percent of the project cost; and
WHEREAS, the estimated project is $250,000, with a maximum reimbursement of $200,000; and
WHEREAS, CMAP and LCDOT desire to enter into an agreement, stating the terms and conditions by which CMAP will reimburse LCDOT; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee at its meeting of February 3, 2016, approved an application to CMAP for a UWP grant for transportation planning for Countywide paratransit options related to the Transit component of the Lake County 2040 Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer be authorized, and are hereby directed to execute an agreement and any future revisions thereto with CMAP.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement and any revisions to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $250,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for the Countywide Paratransit Market Study.
