Body
The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) is seeking a qualified supplier to provide Telepsychiatry services to include psychiatric assessment and medication monitoring of adult outpatient behavioral health patients receiving services at LCHD/CHC. Telepsychiatry is the use of electronic communication and information technologies to provide or support clinical psychiatric care at a distance. Telepsychiatry services use real-time, two-way interactive audio-video transmission. The supplier's Psychiatrist will provide diagnostic assessment, medication support services, consultation, and other clinically-related services. The goal of this project is to provide psychiatric care in situations where services would otherwise be prevented or delayed due to location or availability of resources.

At this time, LCHD/CHC is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to provide Telepsychiatry services for adult patients for a total of sixteen (16) hours per week. The contracted Psychiatrist will work a mutually agreed upon schedule to meet the needs of the program.

A legal notice was published in The News Sun soliciting Requests for Proposals (RFP) for Telepsychiatry Service. The RFP was also posted to the LCHD/CHC website and emailed seven (7) suppliers. Two (2) suppliers attended the Pre-Proposal Meeting on April 13, 2016. Sealed proposals were received from two (2) suppliers and opened in the Materials Management office on April 26, 2016. An evaluation committee reviewed and evaluated the proposals and determined it would be in the best interest of LCHD/CHC to award to both suppliers - Genoa Telepsychiatry of New York, New York and Advanced Telemed Services of Miami, Florida. This will afford LCHD/CHC an opportunity to utilize multiple suppliers should one supplier be unable to supply a psychiatrist in a timely manner.
