R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Wadsworth Road, County Highway 17, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure the free flow of traffic and the safety and welfare of the motoring public, Lake County is desirous of improving Wadsworth Road, west of Sheridan Road, by landscape enhancements within the existing median; and
WHEREAS, this improvement is part of a larger project that includes resurfacing portions of 21st Street, County Highway 67, and Kenosha Road, County Highway 53; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village of Beach Park are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions for the routine maintenance of the landscape median, a draft copy of which is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, this agreement was approved by the Village of Beach Park at their board meeting of April 14, 2016; and
WHEREAS, this Lake County Board, by prior resolution at its meeting of March 8, 2016, appropriated $1,300,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds and $1,410,000 of Matching Tax funds for the resurfacing of Kenosha Road, from 21st Street to Illinois Route 131, the resurfacing of 21st Street, from Illinois Route 131 to Kenosha Road, and for enhancing the median on Wadsworth Road, west of Sheridan Road.
