* The installation of EVP equipment, at six traffic signal locations, will complete the work on the County highway system.
* "End-of-Life" EVP equipment will also be replaced at nine locations on the County Highway System.
* Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $120,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if EVP equipment is installed at the final six traffic signal locations on the County highway system, which includes Lewis Avenue at 9th Street, Lewis Avenue at Beach Road, Lewis Avenue at Argonne Drive, Saunders Road at Parkway North, Saunders Road at Baxter Entrance, State Park Road at Grass Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if EVP equipment is replaced at nine traffic signal locations on the County highway system, which includes Buffalo Grove Road at Old Checker Road, Aptakisic Road at Weiland Road, Gages Lake Road at Almond Road, Center Street at Atkinson Road, Winchester Road at Technology Way, St. Mary's Road at Oak Spring Road, St. Mary's Road at Atkinson Road, Old McHenry Road at Quentin Road, Deerfield Parkway at Busch Parkway; and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed, and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and
WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is needed.
