R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, processes over 10,000 storm sewer locate requests from JULIE on an annual basis; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable to employ the services of a professional firm to ensure compliance to the “Illinois Underground Utility Facilities Damage Prevention Act”; and
WHEREAS, prior to a letting, an appropriation of funds is required for each fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board that there is hereby appropriated $185,000 of Matching Tax funds for FY 2016 storm sewer locating and ticket screening services required to comply with the “Illinois Underground Utility Facilities Damage Prevention Act”, and designated as Section 16-00000-09-GM.
