R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Illinois Highway Code (605 ILCS 605 5/5-413) provides for access roads and driveways for public and private use to be allowed onto a County Highway only upon the issuance for a permit by the County Engineer; and
WHEREAS, this Lake County Board, at its meeting of April 12, 1988, adopted an ordinance dealing with Highway Access Regulation, Lake County Code of Ordinances, Title IX, Chapter 90, and has revised it from time to time; and
WHEREAS, the County Board may, from time to time, amend the Fee Schedule associated with said ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer has proposed amendments to the Fee Schedule associated with said ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amended Fee Schedule complies with Section 90.032, Fees, of the said ordinance and the amendment allows the County to collect the fee during the application review process, rather than at permit issuance, and a Track Changes version and the Final version of the amendment are attached hereto.
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee and the Financial and Administrative Committee of the County Board have reviewed said proposed amendment to the Fee Schedule associated with the Lake County Code of Ordinances, Title IX, Chapter 90, and have found said amendment to promote the public health, safety, comfort, and general welfare.
