RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 has been recognized as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for the Laborers and Skill Trades employees of the Lake County Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), expiring on March 30, 2016, has been negotiated with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150, as the exclusive representative of the Laborers and Skill Trades employees of the Lake County Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the CBA contains provisions in Article 15 requiring the parties to re-open the agreement for the purposes of wage negotiations effective April, 1, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the parties have conducted such negotiations and reached a tentative agreement that grants a general increase of 2.75 percent effective April 1, 2015; and
WHEREAS, your Financial and Administrative Committee has reviewed and approved said increase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this the County Board of Lake County, that the staff is hereby authorized to implement a general increase of 2.75 percent effective April 1, 2015 for the members of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150-Department of Transportation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this general increase shall be effective April 1, 2015.
