Staff Summary

•                     Lake County is replacing the water main along Chevy Chase Road as part of its annual water main replacement program.

•                     Access and authorization to perform this work is required from the Village of Mundelein.

•                     This resolution authorizes an intergovernmental agreement between the Village of Mundelein and the County for the replacement of water main within the Chevy Chase Road right of way.

Body

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Lake County replaces water mains that are part of its water system as part of a long-term water main replacement program; and

WHEREAS, the Chevy Chase Road right of way encompasses an existing portion of water main that is part of the County system and serves the unincorporated Countryside Lake subdivision; and

WHEREAS, the County requires access to replace the existing water main between Lakeview Drive and Hawley Street which is in deteriorating condition; and

WHEREAS, execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement for replacement of water Main with the Village of Mundelein must be authorized by resolution of this County Board.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the County Board and the Clerk of said County are hereby authorized and directed to execute the Intergovernmental Agreement Regarding the Replacement of Water Main in the Chevy Chase Road Right of Way with the Village of Mundelein in substantially the form attached.
