RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 33.036 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for material and personnel hoist work for Lake County courthouse expansion project; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from one vendor and opened at the Lake County Administrative Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on August 27, 2015, at 2 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the invitation to bid; the staff evaluated the bid submittal and determined that the bid submitted by USA Hoist Company, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois, in the amount of $191,314 is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Lake County; and
WHEREAS, On April 9, 2013, the Lake County Board authorized a contract for CMAR with a GMP for the Lake County courthouse expansion project with Clark Construction Group LLC of Chicago, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, On April 14, 2015, the Lake County Board authorized Clark Construction Group LLC of Chicago, Illinois, to proceed with the GMP for the construction of the Lake County courthouse expansion project work described as the core and shell work in the amount of $43,289,566 which includes the work to be performed by USA Hoist Company Inc.; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with USA Hoist Company, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois, and further authorized to assign that contract to Clark Construction Group LLC of Chicago, Illinois, for work described as material and personnel hoist work in the amount of $191,314.
