Joint resolution authorizing an agreement with the Village of Round Lake Park for the construction of a bikepath and sidewalk, as well as sanitary sewer and watermain work, to be completed as part of the Washington Street Project, from Haryan Way to west of Hainesville Road, and designated as Section 11-00121-10-WR.
Staff Summary
* Washington Street, from Haryan Way to west of Hainesville Road: Village of Round Lake Park Agreement.
* Washington Street, from Haryan Way to west of Hainesville Road, will be improved by widening, resurfacing, and installing new traffic control signals.
* As part of this improvement, Lake County will construct a bikepath and sidewalk and complete some sanitary sewer and watermain work within the limits of the County improvement of Washington Street, from Haryan Way to west of Hainesville Road.
* The Village will reimburse the County for its share of the bikepath, sidewalk, sewer and watermain work, estimated to be $579,410. The Village has requested an extended repayment schedule due to the local cost of the project being significantly higher than the estimate of cost.
* The Village Board of Round Lake Park approved this agreement on July 15, 2015.
* This resolution authorizes the execution of an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Round Lake Park.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Washington Street, County Highway 45, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Round Lake Park and Lake County believe it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Washington Street, from Haryan Way to west of Hainesville Road, could be improved by widening, resurfacing, and installing new traffic control signals; and
