R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, There is a need for the supply of calcium nitrate (used for odor control), a storage and delivery system, as well as monitoring and testing of the chemical for the Quentin Road Pump Station; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for publication for calcium nitrate for Public Works; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, an Invitation to Bid was extended to seven vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from two nonlocal vendors and opened at the Lake County Building, Waukegan, Illinois, on May 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Invitation to Bid; staff evaluated the bid submittals and determined that the bid submitted by Evoqua Water Technologies, Sarasota, Florida, in the annual amount $52,380, is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that best meets the needs of the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Evoqua Water Technologies, Sarasota, Florida for the Calcium Nitrate and related accessories/services for Public Works in the annual amoun...
